Craft Challenge

Come people!  Read my craft challenge and take it!  Please!  Let's help people out.  Also I have decided that if we make something that the Humanitarian Center won't take then we can take them to Kolob and Emerald Point (or any old folks center) and have them give them to some of the residents that don't get very much for Christmas!

Craft Challenge

Well it sure has been a while since I updated.  I have been busy.  I did finish my afghan though I am so happy.  Also I have a challenge for all you crocheters (I think that is how you would spell that).  I went to the Humanitarian Center the other day and decided I wanted to do something to help them out.  Well I have decided to put my crocheting and other craft talents to use and I challenge you to do the same.  I have been collecting patterns that I think would be great to make things to donate and I will allow anyone that wants to help to check-out patterns from me.  It won't cost any money because this is for charity.  Also the Humanitarian Center has yarn you can go check out to be able to make crafts that you then turn around and donate.  I would like to have tons of things to be able to take to them by around the 1st week of November.  I will take stuff done after that too, but I would like some of this stuff there in time for them to get ready for Christmas.  You can use patterns of your own as well.  They did mention that they need tons of Christmas Stockings.  They have local wards working on those but I think it would be nice to make some as well to help out.  Also if you know how to knit or sew or quilt or any other craft or you enjoy coloring then you can help out as well.  If you want to know some of the specific needs that they have you can go to their website at http://lds.org/service/humanitarian/help/patterns?lang=eng there needs are always changing.  You are welcome to take them down to St. George or up to Salt Lake on your own or I can take them when I go to one of the two places.  Hope you will help me and those at the Humanitarian Center out!

I am starting a rather challenging project today.  I am going to embroider a design onto a pair of pants.  It was suggested by on of the judges that judged my 4-h demo.  I haven't done something like this yet and I am a bit nervous.  I will post a pic as soon as I am done.

Wow I really need to update more.  Through 4-h I have been able to learn how to make a really cool pillow case that is really easy to make.  I will get a pic up soon of it.  I also learned how to make quilt squares into pillows so I am working on making my butterfly quilt square into a pillow as soon as I am finished with it.  I also did a 4-h demo on the differences of cross stitch and embroidery and I received a blue ribbon for it and I get to take it to state.  I am so excited.

Crafts

Wow it has been a while since I have posted anything.  I am working on getting the pictures for the hat looms uploaded the only problem is it will take a while because I have miss placed my cord for my phone and that is where the pictures are.  The other day I also bought an alphabet book for cross stitch.  It has tons of different ways to do the letters of the alphabet.  Some just fancy looking others with little pictures with them, example one of them has an angel for each of the letters.  I will start posting some of those as I make them as well.  Summer is coming soon so I will have more time.  Also starting during the summer I am going to have the store set up in front of my house once a month so that you can come see what I have made and what I can make.  I will let you know the dates and times for that.

Hey everybody!  yesterday I bought some looms!  Now I can make hats and scarfs and flowers on them!  I will have more info and pictures once I have a finished project!

Hey everybody here is my craft store info :) I will update it as new things are added. 

Okay this is a quote.  Quotes do not have a set price it depends on how long they are.  If you have a quote you want done tell me what it is and I will tell you the price.  If it is more then you want to pay I am willing to work with you on the price.  I will also need to know what color you may want it in and if you have a date you need it done by. 

Here is just one of the type of flowers I can do.  This when you order is flower #1.  You can get it as just the flower, or with a stem, or with a magnet, or with a hair clip, or with a button.  The price changes depending on what you want.  You can also combined the special features.  The flower alone is $1.00.  To have a stem is +$.50.  To have a magnet is +$1.00.  To have a hair clip is +$1.00.  To have a button is +$.50.  I will also need to know what color you want and if you have a date you need it done by.  Also you can have it be more then one color but no more than two.

This is a letter.  You can do any letter, a name, or even two names with a + sign in the middle.  You can have up to two colors.  I can frame it for you as well but it does cost more.  The letter alone is $3.00 and with the frame it is $5.00.  I will need to know what color(s) you want and if you have a date you need it done by.

This is the word live.  You can order it alone or with a frame.  It costs the same as the letter.  It can have more than one color to it but no more than two. 

Okay those are all the ones I have prices for the following pictures are crafts I can do but have not figured out the price for them yet.  If you want one of the following crafts you can order it and I will price it when I am done.  If you do not like the price I will work with you or just put it in a box for Christmas and Birthday gifts.  I will need to know the same general info like color or any special features or the date it is needed if there is one.

Craft update

Hey everyone :) I have tons of crafts I am working on!  It is crazy how many I have!  I also have my own little store that I do inside of my house and when I get the chance I will post a little more info on that.  I am making my very first aphgan!  It is so pretty.  I am making a dress for dolls!  It is going to be for my little sister.  I am making butterfly pillows and they are so pretty but take hours to make.  I also know how to make a million differnt kinds of flowers (well maybe not a million but a lot)  and I am working on some for a friend for her b-day present.  I also cross stitch and I am working a little project with that.  I am also using this loom I have to make a scarf and it is taking a long time to do that one too!  Well that is my craft update for now!  I will post info on my store possibly later today!
